Each piece is handmade in Indonesia from beautifully restored and environmentally sensitive, reclaimed wood or plantation wood, and built with long lasting mortise and tenon joinery. Eco-Friendly Oriental Furniture
We only import environmentally friendly furniture made from sustainable materials such as reclaimed teak, reclaimed mahogany or certified plantation grown wood. These materials do not deplete the earths forests and give our furnishings the natural character that comes from solid wood. Our current collection features beautiful contemporary furniture from Japan and Indonesia. However we are always searching for new, high quality Asian platform beds and reclaimed teak furniture for kitchens, dinning rooms, living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and synthetic wicker outdoor furniture for patios and gardens.

At Tansu we collect Asian furniture that is simple and elegant, rustic and hand made, eclectic yet classic. In short we look for the types of furniture pieces that you will love for a lifetime not just the style of today. We search for the best contemporary Asian style furniture from around the world and import them here for you.

Some of the items that we collect such as our stacked trunks, Japanese furniture screens and Buddha statues are not always available on our site. If you are looking for a hard to find item, give us a call or send us and e-mail and we will do our best to locate it for you. We always keep in stock a complete collection of buffet tables, entertainment centers, armoires, Asian platform beds, flat screen TV stands, Japanese platform beds and more.
